1st place
Prize award: €3,500
Rythym of the Maze

Inspired by life’s paths. The lines show challenges and decisions, while the flowing patterns represent balance. It’s about finding harmony in life’s twists and turns. While choosing the colors, I focused on ensuring they harmonize with various interiors. Additionally, the producibility of the rug was a key factor shaping my design.
Jurys motivation
“The designs composition was captivating, with a balanced yet dynamic layout that immediately grabbed attention. It built a sense of optical harmony, keeping the viewer engaged. Pushing boundaries in both in shape and content, the design was innovative and personal. With a sense of movement and exploration, it became more than just a standout piece—it reflects the future of design, embracing personality and creativity”

2d place
Prize award: €1,750
Wild spirits

Inspired by the natural world, this design blends serenity with dynamic and untamed forms. Its free-spirited elements mimic algae, evoke the vibrancy and motionof marine flora. The main structure is a serene, blue rectangel, which serves as the base for smaller, colourful elements with extended threads.
Jurys motivation
“The design feels alive, vibrant, and full of energy. The combination of colours and its shape shifting nature creates a tactile experience. The somewhat randomly scattered shapes and texture play invites you to touch and engage on a deeper level. It has a minimalistic expression but still grounded in the beauty of the natural under water world”

3d place
Prize award: €1,000
Lips

When trying a new shape I came up with this mouth, step by step. The design is called “Lips”. It tells me it is okay to see the beauty of the lips given to us by birth and also to grow old with them.
Jurys motivation
“Here’s your reason to speak up—to say what’s on your mind, and express yourself! The simple yet strong shape of lips is a reminder that sometimes, the most straightforward, figurative designs can carry the strongest messages. So, don’t be shy—speak out, because your voice matters… even when captured in a well-designed lip rug. The design theme was approached in a spot on way, fresh and contemporary”
